I have been playing with computers ever since I was about six years old and wrote my first program in QBasic when I was 9. When I was 14, I started work on a "small" project for my father's accounting business. It was a simple Microsoft Access Database that was supposed to help his business run better. After a couple of years, it turned into a giant application that handled scheduling, job management, client data, call logging and served as an electronic filing cabinet. I guess you could say that this is how I got started.
Ever since then, I've developed websites for myself, friends and even for paying customers. More recently, I began selling my services to other businesses in order to develop applications for them--most notably the Point-of-Sale system for a local shoe store, which can you get more information about by viewing my portfolio.
I majored in Computer Science and focused my courses on Software Engineering. As of September 30, 2009 I have a Bachelor in Science Degree with a concentration in Computer Science from Charter Oak State College in New Britain, Connecticut. I am a former teaching assistant, tutor, and grader for the Math and Computer Science Department of California State University, East Bay.
I am familiar with (and use day-to-day) many different languages and technologies. Among these are C++, Java, C#, VB6, VB.NET, PHP, mySQL, MSSQL, Microsoft Access (and Access SQL), VBA, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and AJAX. I have a passion for developing database applications and if I had to specify my speciality, "databases" would be it. On top of it all, I consider myself an Access expert. I hope to continue developing software for the rest of my life--anything that includes database development is a plus!
I have recently decided to develop small applications that would meet the needs of the every-day "Joe Shmoe". Check out my products page for these applications, and please, spend the $4.99 to license them, it's not that much!!
My résumé, as of August 17, 2009, is available for download as a Word 2007 document (.docx) or in a Portable Document Format file (.pdf).
A list of courses that I have taken in the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics and those that are Business-related is aviable as a Word Document and a PDF. All other general education courses were completed between Worcester Polytechnic Institute, California State Universtity East Bay, and Charter Oak State College.
